Kayla & Dan - Metropolis Wedding Photographer

Kayla's Mom and Dad had pictures taken in the exact same spot at their wedding!!!  I love this one of them sneaking a peek :)

I am absolutely head over heels in love with their first look!

ugghhhhhhh....you guys kill me!

I'm stealing this line from Gatsby....Dan looks at Kayla like every girl wants to be looked at.

Sweet Child of Mine as the Father/Daughter dance....AMAZING!!! :D

Wedding Date:  May 18th, 2013

What was the most memorable part of your day?  The most memorable part of our wedding day was doing our "first look." Walking up behind Dan, with him knowing I was right behind him...and then turning around...wow! Just having that moment to ourselves and being able to see each other before the ceremony was amazing. And also calmed a few nerves! So glad we have that moment catpured :)Any advice for future Brides and Grooms?  Don't sweat the small stuff. Ultimately you are there to marry the man you want to spend the rest of your life with! Take time to step back and enjoy the planning and most importantly The Day!!

If you could do it all over again, would you change anything?  I honestly would not change a single thing. The whole day, from the stressful morning to the 1/2 mile walk to our Bed&Breakfast...would not change a thing! It was a perfect day!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?  Due to moving a few days after the wedding from Southern Illinois to Northwest Chicago, we chose to postpone our honeymoon until our one year anniversary :)
What was your first dance song?  For our first dance, we chose "Crash" by the Dave Matthews Band. We both love DMB and thought it was very fitting. Coincidentally, a few days after our move, we happened to win tickets to a DMB concert from a local radio station! Fate? Maybe so. ;)
What was your favorite photo moment?  All of the pictures we took by this big tree in the front yard of my church. It was such a beautiful day. It also happened to be the same tree that my parents had their wedding pictures taken...nearly thirty years ago!
